PALMER — During the Mat-Su Borough School District’s winter break, the Palmer Library will host Holiday Hoopla, family-friendly activities for all, Dec. 20 to 22, and Dec. 27 to Dec. 29. The fun is from 10 a.m. to noon for kids ages 2 to 11 and includes crafts and science projects for preschoolers, book nook, children’s puzzles and simple toys, cards and games. This is not a drop-off event. Parents must plan to stay and supervise their children.
• It’s time for teens from 2 to 4 p.m. Aimed at kids in grades sixth through 12, the fun includes games, movies, laptops will be available and the lounge area will be accessible for socializing.
• Movie Mania is Dec. 23 and 30, and blankets, snacks and beverages are welcome. Showing Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and at noon is “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” Showing Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. is “The Adventures of Milo and Otis” and at 11:30 a.m. is “Miracle,” the story of the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team.
