On Nov. 6, Koong Charles Henry, 38, of Palmer, was arrested for third degree assault, recklessly placing another person in fear of imminent serious physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument, as the result of an incident involving his wife.

Police responded to a call from a woman saying her husband was threatening her with a knife. By the time police arrived, they were told the knife had been taken from Henry by his 15-year-old child.

Police say Henry’s other two children, ages 13 and 11, witnessed the incident and Henry was arrested for assault in the third degree, domestic violence-related and remanded into custody of the Mat-Su Pre-trial Facility.

Henry received bail of $750 with 10 percent to the court, along with court orders that he not have contact with the alleged victim, nor come within 500 feet of her residence, along with a monitoring bracelet.

His next court date is a pre-indictment hearing set for Nov. 17.
