Palmer man arrested on federal child porn charges

A Palmer man has been arrested and charged with production of child pornography.

Oliver Stewart Reing, 21, is facing five counts of production and attempted production of child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Bryan Schroder.

The federal charges also include two counts of coercion and enticement, attempted coercion and enticement of a minor.

Reing was arrested March 17 and arraigned March 18.

Reing allegedly coerced five minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing visual depictions, according to the indictment.

The minors include a 14-year-old female from Michigan. Alaska State Troopers started the investigation and are asking the public for any further information about Reing’s activities.

Reing is facing a minimum of 10 years if convicted, according to the U.S. District Attorney’s office.
