Palmer man arrested over threats with metal club

PALMER — Police say a Palmer man walked into Taco Bell Thursday, grabbed another man by the throat, and threatened him with a metal club.

According to a press statement from the Palmer Police Department, Keoki R. Kanekahaaki Tafaoialii, 21, of Palmer, walked into the Palmer restaurant off the Glenn Highway, went behind the counter and grabbed Kyle D. Volin, 19, of Palmer, by the throat.

Police say Tafaoialii also produced a metal club and threatened Volin with it.

Police caught up with Tafaoialii, arrested him, and jailed him at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $2,500 bail. He is charged with third-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
