Palmer man dead after plane crash near Chickaloon

A Palmer man is dead following a plane crash near Chickaloon Nov. 10.

Joshua Seagrave, 46, was identified as the pilot and sole occupant of an aircraft that crashed in the Matanuska River near Mile 77 of the Glenn Highway. Alaska State Troopers received the report of the crash Nov. 10 at 12:48 p.m. The investigation revealed that the plane piloted by Seagrave was flying with another aircraft and a witness said Seagrave’s plane hit a cable, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers and the Matanuska Dive Team responded to the accident, Seagrave was declared dead at the scene.
