PALMER — A 24-year-old Palmer man riding without a helmet sustained severe head trauma in a motorcycle crash on Lucky Shot Lane Friday afternoon.

Alaska State Troopers say Kyle Snyder lost control negotiating a corner, left the roadway and was airborne when the bike crashed through a small fence before landing in a residential garden around 1:40 p.m., July 10.

Speed is believed to be a factor, troopers said.

Snyder was transported by ambulance first to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and then flown by LifeMed air ambulance to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, according to a trooper dispatch statement.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401.
