PALMER - In an effort to enhance the role of literature in the lives of Mat-Su children, the Palmer Public Library will host dozens of book-related events this fall for young children and their families.
The library, early in September, will launch a series of regular story-time events for children of all ages, with an emphasis on those between 2 and 6 years old.
Beginning Sept. 6, every Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. will be devoted to story times for children ages 2-6 years old.
Beginning Sept. 8, every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. will be story time for 2- and 3-year-olds.
During that same time, the library will host a separate story event for 4-, 5- and 6-year-olds.
A story event for the whole family takes place Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. This event is open to all ages and will conclude after 30 minutes with cookies and milk. Pajamas and quilts are suggested.
For more information about story-time book lists and other library events this fall and winter, people may contact the library at 745-4690.
