The Palmer Moose boys and girls soccer squad earned a varsity sweep over conference rival Grace Christian Saturday evening at Palmer High’s Machetanz Field.
Cole Miller used a hat trick to lead the Moose boys to a 5-0 win over the Grizzlies. Aiden Kent and Fischer Adams also scored. Michael Larsen earned the shutout.
Haven White and Kaylee Gallego scored for the Palmer girls during a 2-1 win.
The Division II Palmer boys played to a 2-2 tie against Division I West Valley on Thursday. Elijah Von Gunten scored during the first two minutes of play, knocking in a shot off a rebound. Adams tied the score at 2 in the second half.
West Valley beat the Palmer girls 5-0.
The Colony boys and girls both finished 1-0-1 during matches against conference rivals Lathrop and West Valley.
Emily Moses scored twice during a 2-0 win over Lathrop. Savannah Anderson earned the shutout for the Knights girls. Moses also scored in the 1-1 tie against West Valley.
Quinn Dowd led the Colony boys to a 3-0 win over Lathrop. Finn Hoffman also had a goal and an assist. Mason Irsik earned the shutout.
Colony tied West Valley 3-3. Isaac Villa and Blake Carveth scored goals, and Matthew Crawford converted a penalty kick.
The Wasilla girls finished 0-1-1 against Lathrop and West Valley. The Warriors played Lathrop to a scoreless tie. West Valley beat the Warriors 2-0.
