PALMER — A Palmer standout has earned one of the Railbelt Conference’s major annual awards.
Palmer senior Duston Corbin was named the Railbelt Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Corbin was also named first-team all-conference on both sides of the ball. The senior garnered the honors at both outside linebacker and fullback.
Corbin is among six Palmer players to earn first-team honors. Running back Lavar Marshall, tight end Ethan Bleakney, guard Dylan Hose, defensive lineman Tyler Linder and long snapper Brady Shults were also named to the first team. Hose and Linder are among seven Moose players named to the second team. Hose earned a spot at inside linebacker, and Linder at tackle. Running back Jayden Christiansen, wide receiver Dawson Van Tassel, defensive lineman James Rogers, defensive back Dae Osiensky and kicker Catherine Uschmann were named to the second team.
Palmer finished 4-4 in 2019.
