KETCHIKAN — A pair of Palmer High seniors earned most valuable player honors following the Clarke Cochrane Classic in Ketchikan late last month.

Senior Connor Looney grabbed boys’ MVP honors after leading the Moose to a runner-up finish in the boys bracket. Looney scored 41 points during a first-round win over Gig Harbor (Wash.) and averaged 29.6 points per game. Blake was named MVP following Palmer’s fourth-place finish in the girls’ bracket. She averaged 29.5 points in the tourney, and scored her 1,000th career varsity point during a tournament win over Craig.
