Palmer soccer squads sweep Skyview, fall to Homer

PALMER — The Palmer Moose scored a 9-0 girls soccer win over Skyview Friday at Machetanz Field in Palmer.

Ruby Woodings, Corby Brooke and Elliot Perkins each scored twice for Palmer. Avery Park, Heidi Hanna and Kiana Till also found the back of the net. Kat Godden and Desi Molina combined for the shutout in the Moose net.

In boys’ action, Josh Banks and James Nisbett each netted a hat trick to lead the Moose to an 8-0 win over Skyview. Elliott Price and Cody Wells also scored for Palmer.

On Saturday, Homer scored in the sixth minute and held on for a 1-0 girls soccer win over Palmer. The Homer boys also slipped past Palmer 1-0.
