GLENNALLEN — Palmer claimed first place in the Glennallen Ice Cube Classic with a 2-2 overtime tie against the host Panthers Saturday.
Michael Hanson and Dylan Danielowski each scored for the Moose.
Sam McQuillin made 17 shots for Palmer, which out shot Glennallen by a 41-19 margin.
Both Palmer and Glennallen finished the tournament 2-0-1, but Palmer was declared the winner based on tie-breakers.
The Moose outscored their opponents 14-2 over the weekend.
On Friday the Moose scored a 7-0 win over the Hutchison Hawks.
Jared Hanson, Jeremy Wright and Zack Richards each scored twice for Palmer against the Hawks. Michael Hanson also added a score.
Sam McQuillin earned the shutout for Palmer with 18 saves.
The three-day tournament was played outdoors in single-digit temperatures.
Palmer also blanked Delta 5-0 in Thursday’s tourney opener.
