WASILLA — For the second day in a row, Valley commuters encountered delays during rush hour traffic.
A two-vehicle head on collision at 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday shut down the Palmer-Wasilla Highway at Shennum Drive. Of the four people involved in the accident, two were transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Mat-Su Borough Deputy Director of Emergency Services Ken Barkley could not provide a time for when the highway would reopen, as of 6:30 p.m., but said that commuters traveling the Palmer-Wasilla should expect delays.
