WASILLA — A Palmer woman faces several charges, including driving under the influence and endangering the welfare of a child, after a traffic stop near Wasilla Feb. 2.
According to an online dispatch posted Thursday, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop along the Parks Highway near Vine Road just before 10:30 p.m. Feb. 2. Troopers determined Amanda Galt, 45, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Galt also was in possession of methamphetamine and had a child in the vehicle, troopers said.
Galt was charged with DUI, misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree, endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree and avoiding an ignition interlock device.
Galt was arraigned on Feb. 3 and released on own recognizance on Feb. 4, according to online court documents. A pretrial date has been set for April 1.
