WASILLA — A 32-year-old Palmer woman was arrested for driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, and for child endangermentTuesday.
Alaska State Troopers contacted Mylanda L. Forbis driving a teal 2003 Chevrolet Venture near E. Lakeview Road near Aoki Drive in Wasilla after she was reported as a dangerous driver in the area of Shaw Elementary School in Wasilla around 4 p.m., April 21.
Troopers say their investigation found that Forbis’ was driving under the influence on a revoked license with two children onboard, and two outstanding warrants for her arrest.
One in the amount of $1,000 for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of driving while license revoked; and a $750 warrant for failure to appear for trial call on the original charge of driving under the influence.
Troopers say they arrested Forbis at the scene without incident and she was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where she was held on a total bail of $3,250.
At Forbis’ request, the two children and vehicle were released to a sober adult at the scene, troopers say.
