FAIRBANKS — The Mat-Su Miners offense awakened with 17 hits during a 12-4 win over the Alaska Goldpanners on Sunday.
But on Monday, the Panners caught the Miners snoozing.
Alaska held league-leading Mat-Su to just one hit in a 7-0 win over the Miners at Growden Park in Fairbanks.
Ryan Jensen shattered Alaska starter Jon Pokorny's no-hit bid with a single in the seventh.
Mat-Su starter Max Peterson allowed only three hits in the loss, but walked five hitters. He was also tagged with four earned runs in less than four innings of work.
The Miners continue their week-long visit of the Interior with four games against the AIA Fire. The series starts Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Growden Park.
