PALMER — Morning traffic was slowed on Tuesday, after a single vehicle rollover occurred at 3:58 a.m. between the Trunk Road and Hyer Road exits off the Parks Highway according to Alaska State Troopers’ press release.
Three persons were treated for injuries following the rollover, one had been ejected a great distance from the vehicle and was in critical condition, one was ejected from the vehicle and died from sustained injuries. The person believed to be the driver received only minor injuries. Both injured persons were taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center and the critical patient later was transported to Providence Hospital. The Parks Highway was closed for about two hours following the accident.
