MAT-SU — Valley high school seniors Lena Illig and Kadin Mulneaux are the recipients of this year’s scholarships from the Alaska Peace Officer Association-Mat-Su Chapter.
Illig is studying criminal justice at University of Alaska Anchorage with a goal of becoming an Alaska State Trooper.
Mulneaux will play hockey and study criminal justice at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
The scholarships are awarded annually to students pursuing a law-enforcement -related field of study. Each received $1,500 toward college expenses.
