PALMER — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle near Palmer Friday night.
The Alaska State Troopers and Palmer Police responded to the intersection of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Creekwood Park Circle just before 11 p.m. Friday after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. Medical personnel declared the man dead at the scene, according to an AST online dispatch posted early Saturday morning. The man was wearing all dark clothing, and the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
According to AST, authorities are working to identify the deceased as the investigation continues.
