Gym being enlarged

Construction work on the gymnasium section of Central School is progressing very well, according to William T. Zahradnicek, the superintendent. Chet Sandvik is supervising the work, which will include the extension of the gym section. Shower rooms and dressing rooms will be constructed in the basement section just below the space which formerly housed shower stalls.

Old building removed

One of Palmer's oldest landmarks is being removed this week.

The old building which formerly housed the home and law office of the late C.C. Brix is being torn down by Ray Huston, who recently purchased the building from a nephew of Mr. Brix. He plans to use the materials in the building of a home.

Two file for city council

Two city residents have qualified as nominees in the forthcoming City election, according to Clare Stock, city clerk. Ethel King and Ray Lancaster have filed petitions with the required number of qualified signatures, seeking the city council seats.
