Zoning measure readied

Draft copies of the newly revised Matanuska-Susitna Borough's zoning ordinance and map are now available.

The new ordinance has stripped its classification section down to just three possibilities -- either agricultural, agricultural residential, or suburban residential.

The map attached to the proposed measure applies restrictive zoning only to a perimeter area around the city of Palmer and the three use districts defined in the ordinance were obviously designed with that perimeter in mind.
