• 2008 Colony High School graduate Stuart Krueger of Wasilla was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho. He is the risk management chair in Sigma Chi fraternity and plans to graduate in December with a double major in political science and history. At Colony High he was co-president of his senior class and a played varsity football.

• The award-winning Colony High School JROTC Drill Team, led by instructors Gerald Diotte and David Gogert, advanced to the regional drill competition in Torrance, Calif.

• Colony High School librarian Prudence Plunkett is flying to Los Angeles over spring break to compete as a contestant on Jeopardy! To become a contestant, she passed a 50-question timed test and completed an audition process. The program will air at a later date.

Mary Anne Eicher Olson of Palmer was among the 1,600 candidates for degrees for the fall 2011 semester at the University of Kansas. She was awarded a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

• Colony High School senior Kevin Williams is a candidate for the 2012 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program — one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students.

• Colony High School senior Ben Evans is a candidate for the 2012 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program — one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students. He also is a National Merit Scholarship candidate.
