• Elizabeth Krauszer, daughter of Diane and Paul Krauszer of Wasilla, was inducted into the National Civilian Community Corps, an AmeriCorps program, Nov. 12. She attended Colony High School and the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she earned a degree in psychology. “I chose to join AmeriCorps NCCC because I wanted to devote my time and resources to giving back to the people around me and to explore America,” Krauszer said.
• Jordan Elkins of Wasilla was inducted into the Tau Delta Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta of the National Communication Association Honor Society at Quinnipiac University. To be inducted, communications students must have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.25 and a minimum communications studies grade point average of 3.25. They must also complete at least 60 credits, three communications courses and achieve junior standing.
