• Calvin Edward of Wasilla was named to the dean’s list for the winter term 2014 at Eastern Oregon University, La Grande, Oregon.
• Kendra Johnson of Big Lake has been named to the dean’s list for the winter term 2014 at Eastern Oregon University, La Grande, Oregon.
• Harmony Piazza of Wasilla has been named to the dean’s list for the winter term 2014 at Eastern Oregon University, La Grande, Oregon.
• Kelsey Olson, a 2014 Susitna Valley High School graduate, has accepted a $700 Fort Hays Bronze Academic Award and a $500 Academic Opportunity Award in nursing to Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kan., for the 2014-15 academic year. She is the daughter of Michael Moseley and Tanya Olson of Willow and plans to major in nursing.
• Carly Colligan of Wasilla was named to the 2014 spring semester dean’s list at Carroll College, Helena, Montana.
• Robyn Hall of Wasilla graduated from the College of Saint Benedict. St. Joseph, Minnesota on May 17. She is the daughter of Robert and Amy Hall of Wasilla Hall and a candidate to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in an individualized physics major with the honor magna cum laude.
• Kevin Christopher of Palmer has joined Rep. Bill Stoltze’s legislative staff of for the summer. A 2013 graduate of Palmer High School, he is the son of Pete and Denise Christopher of Palmer. He also was named to the dean’s list this spring at the University of Idaho where he is studying chemical engineering and chemistry.
• Andrew Ford has joined the legislative staff for Rep. Lynn Gattis. He is the son of Nathan and Kim Ford and a May 2014 graduate of Gardner Webb University, Boiling Spring, North Carolina.
• Elizabeth Hitchcock of Sutton was named to the spring 2014 dean's list at Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin.
• Jessica Elaine Parker of Palmer was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Arkansas Tech University, Russellville, Arkansas.
• Drew Allen Chapman of Palmer was named to the president’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Washington State University, Pullman, Washington.
• Denali Robert Kagel of Wasilla was named to the president’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Washington State University, Pullman, Washington.
• Kathryn Lenee Mayer of Wasilla was named to the president’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Washington State University, Pullman, Washington.
• Micah McKinnis of Palmer was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois.
• Kaitlyn Klapperich, a communication major from Wasilla, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Central Methodist University, Fayette, Missouri.
• Adelmo Ciucci of Palmer graduated May 25 with a degree in communication studies from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. He is the son of John and Susan Brunner.
• Joey Crum of Palmer was appointed by Gov. Sean Parnell to serve on the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education, which administers state student loan programs and authorizes new facilities and programs. The president of Northern Industrial Training, Crum holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Puget Sound, and a juris doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law.
• Kenneth Schoenlein of Willow was appointed to the State Vocational Rehabilitation Committee, which promotes employment of people with disabilities by creating statewide interest in the rehabilitation and employment of people with disabilities. He has been a computer programmer since serving in the U.S. Army, where he was awarded his Crew Chief Wings.
