• Home-schooled sophomore Aria Villnerve of Palmer received a $1,000 Greenheart Travel Correspondent Scholarship toward her month-long trip to study language in Berlin, Germany, this summer.

Aslynn Marie Jones received her degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University May 15. She graduated cum laude and was elected into membership in Theta Chapter of the Society of Phi Zeta, the Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine. She will be on staff for a one-year rotation at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Hospital in Madison beginning In June. Jones is 2004 graduate of Palmer High School.

Misty McNellis of Wasilla was initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines at University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Kristie Parsons of Trapper Creek was initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines at University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Kelly Renee Moran of Wasilla graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in mathematical sciences from Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina.

• Colony High School graduate Jamie N. Schwantes of Palmer has received a National Merit Scholarship to study neurosurgery at the University of Idaho.

Sean Aki of Palmer has been named to the Honors List for the 2015 spring semester at Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa.

Gabrielle Zaleski of Wasilla was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester at Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado. She is studying biology.

Ben Matlock of Colony High School received a $10,000 BP scholarship to pursue a degree in process technology through the University of Alaska.

Luke Schruf of Wasilla High School received a $10,000 BP scholarship to pursue a degree in process technology through the University of Alaska.

Maria Ann Cucullu of Colony High School received a $4,000 scholarship through the BP Principals Scholarship program.

Amanda Carver of Houston High School received a $4,000 scholarship through the BP Principals Scholarship program.

Alexa Milbradt of Palmer High School received a $4,000 scholarship through the BP Principals Scholarship program.

Dawson Matthews of Su Valley High School received a $4,000 scholarship through the BP Principals Scholarship program.

Mariah Kincaid of Palmer graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. She is the child of Beth and Ken Kincaid of Palmer. She will move on to a residency program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and will specialize in anesthesiology.
