Wasilla resident named president of Providence Alaska Foundation
Lifelong Alaskan Suzanne Rudolph was appointed president of the Providence Alaska Foundation.
Rudolph was born and raised in Palmer and has lived in Wasilla with her family for 18 years. She is a member of the Wasilla Sunrise Rotary, served on the Mat-Su Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Board of Directors and on the Mat-Su Resource Conservation and Economic Development Council.
She came to Providence in 2001 and has served as development officer, director of operations and, most recently, vice president of the foundation. She brings with her extensive experience in fundraising, board leadership, management and strategic planning.
“I’m honored to serve the needs of our community and grateful to be continuing my work at Providence through the foundation as president,” Rudolph said.
Air Force 2nd Lt. Kristen M. Jones received silver pilot’s wings after graduating from Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin Air Force Base, Del Rio, Texas.
The 52-week training program includes a three-week preflight phase I, which includes academics and physiology training for flight preparation. The second phase, primary training, is conducted in the twin-engine, subsonic T-37 Tweet aircraft to learn flight characteristics, emergency procedures, takeoff and landing procedures, aerobatics, and formation flying.
She is the daughter of John Jones of Radbourne Court, and Jane Jones of Colonial Park Drive, both of Monument, Colo.
Her husband, Chris, is the son of Terrell Heiserman and Shelley Heiserman both of Wasilla.
