• Air National Guard Airman Kirsten G. Laulainen graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

She is the daughter of Raymond Laulainen of Palmer.

Laulainen graduated in 2007 from Palmer High School and received an associate degree in 2010 from Mat-Su Community College.

• Two Wasilla students — Maci Christine Eisenhower and Dylan Spargo — were named to the 2010 Autumn Quarter Dean’s List at Seattle Pacific University.

Students who make the school’s dean’s list completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.5 or higher grade point average.
