People We Know

Colony High School student Samantha Wallace of Palmer has been awarded a scholarship for the 2011-12 academic year through the ASSE International Student Exchange Program. She is part of a group of 50 American high school students who will live with a host family and attend high school in Germany for one academic year. Since the United States Department of State and the German government began co-sponsoring the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship Program in 1983, it has helped more than 17,000 young people.
