Wasilla residents Samantha Matthews and Ryan Van Gorder have announced their engagement, with a July wedding planned.
Matthews, a care assistant, is the daughter of Tommie Matthews and Monica Camacho.
Van Gorder, a sales representative and business owner, is the son of Jim VanGorder and Kristie Smithers.
The couple plan at July 22 wedding at the family cabin.
Wasilla residents Morgan McVeigh and Levi Wagle have announced their engagement, and have planned a June wedding.
McVeigh, a bank teller, is the daughter of Heather McVeigh. She is 2013 graduate of Wasilla High School and a 2016 graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Wagle is a 2015 graduate of Wasilla High School and is employed as a Walmart associate. He is the son of Richard and Lindsay Wagle.
The couple has planned the wedding for 4 p.m. June 10 at Kings Lake Camp.
Nicole Levinson of Wasilla graduated from Kent State University’s College of Communication and Information in December with a master’s degree in Library and Information Science. According to a news release from the university, Levinson was among nearly 3,000 students who received bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, associate and educational specialist degrees during Kent State’s 2016 fall commencement ceremony.
Marissa Beachell of Wasilla, a member of the Stonehill College class of 2019, was named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at the Massachusetts college. Beachell is majoring in biology.
To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.
Stonehill is a Catholic college located near Boston.
