• Donovan Parker has completed his Federal Aviation Administration instrument rating at Rocky Mountain College, Billings, Montana. Donovan is the son of Shannon Parker and a 2013 graduate of Colony High School. He is a sophomore majoring in aeronautical science at Rocky Mountain College.

• Mat-Su College Director Talis Colberg received the 2014 Governor’s Awards for the Humanities from the Alaska State Council on the Arts and the Alaska Humanities Forum as part of the 2014 Governor’s Awards for the Arts and Humanities.
