I noticed your newspaper was doing statehood stories.
One of the biggest stories is the Permanent Fund since statehood that affects all Alaskans today. Somewhere in state archives are the signators of petition to create the fund. Now, there is the real story — all of those people who thought 25 percent of revenue should be saved, which it seems not many people know how to do anymore.
These are the stories of those people who had a helping hand in building the state what it is today, good or bad.
