My 2007 Permanent Fund Dividend was not received by late November, so I called the PFD office in Juneau.
They said they had not received it, so I said I would reapply. They said that it wouldn’t do any good as I was too late. I said I didn’t know I wasn’t getting my PFD until now, to which they replied, that’s too bad.
Now, I’ve been in Alaska 50 years, applied for my PFD every year its been available and received it every year. Why not this time? The state also said that it is trying to get people to apply online instead of the way I’ve been doing it for the past 25 or so years.
Of course, I couldn’t get to the governor, even with her open door policy. I thought this governor was different. I’ve e-mailed five times to no avail.
