All right, all of you who lost your primary bids. You are under close watch now. You need to get out there as quickly as possible and pick up every one of your signs.
Eyesores they are, and you can’t hide because your name is plastered all over them! Your volunteers need to finish up the job by cleaning up your mess. Leaving them out there for weeks after losing the election is likened to littering and should be a fined offense. In fact our lawmakers should draw up some legislation to that effect; if you don’t pick up your signs within 10 days of an election you will get fined $25 per yard sign, up to $100 for each 4 by 8.
The money should go beautification projects in each area the signs were found; seems only fitting, doesn’t it?
