In reference to the upcoming charity shoot at Grouse Ridge.
The various charity shoots put on at Grouse Ridge over the years are commendable and I have encouraged people to attend.
However, the theme of the party held afterward is disgusting.
The party seeks to glorify, romanticize and make light of piracy and the deprivations of the Vikings.
It would appear that these people support murder, rape, kidnappings and robbery because that’s what pirates and Vikings do.
I doubt that current victims of piracy would see any humor in the event.
Perhaps next year they will hold a costume party seeking to ID “The real Dr. Mengele” or “Which drunk driver ran over the flagger.”
