The state’s Department of Administration has recognized a tremendous recruitment and retention problem facing Alaska.
So what is it doing about it? It appears as if the Department of Administration wants to alienate its current supervisors with an inappropriate and insulting contract offer. This contract will not assist in retaining competent employees or address recruitment concerns.
It appears that the Department of Administration is oblivious to the repercussions of its current offer. Governor Palin has the authority and insight to correct this course of action. Governor Palin, please address the state’s recruitment and retention problem by offering fair and appropriate contracts to the workforce and therefore ensuring all Alaskans receive the services they deserve.
It’s a matter of respect for all Alaskans.
