To the editor:
I would like to express my deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Mat-Su Search and Rescue, the dive team, the Butte fire department and all others who helped Mr. Anderson and myself in our dire time of need. Because of some poor choices on my part, they had to put their lives at risk. And thanks also to the 911 operators for putting up with my impatience. Please accept my apology. To the EMS crew, thank you for being so concerned for our health and wellbeing.
To all involved last Wednesday night on the Matanuska River, you all were great and very professional, risking life and limb and asking nothing in return. You are a very special kind of people to which we owe our lives. You will forever be in our prayers. I know God will be with you and your families and continue to be at your side as you continue to so graciously help others when they may be in need.
I am sorry that I cannot mention all your names, but you all know who you are.
Thank you and God bless!
