July 30, 3:05 a.m. Following a traffic stop for a moving violation, troopers arrested 43-year old Richard Pacheco of Wasilla on DUI charges. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility and later released on his own recognizance.
July 30, 7:50 p.m., Seward Meridian Parkway-East Birchview Drive, Wasilla. Responding to a single-vehicle rollover collision, troopers arrested 32-year old Shad J. Sizemore of Wasilla for DUI and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. According to reports, Sizemore was operating a 2003 Kia sedan northbound on Seward Meridian Parkway when he lost control and left the roadway. Police say there were three occupants, two under the age of 18. Sizemore was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $1,000 bail.
July 29, 8:55 p.m., Cottonwood Creek, Wasilla. Wildlife troopers cited 52-year-old Donny R. Mincher of Wasilla and 43-year-old Lilian M. Mincher—both of Wasilla, for sport fishing for salmon in waters closed to fishing the species. According to reports, wildlife troopers were following up on reports of illegal fishing along the creek off Fairview Loop. Bail was set at $110 each.
July 28, Mile 9, Knik-Goose Bay Road. While working a traffic enforcement detail, wildlife troopers cited Joseph Schmitt for failure to record his salmon catch on his permit prior to departing the fishing site. Troopers stated Schmitt harvested several salmon at the Fish Creek personal use fishery. Bail was set at $110.
