Aug. 11, 1:09 a.m., Parks Highway-Boundary Street. Following up on a reported woman passed out in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle, police arrested Candice Calvin for DUI drugs. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
Aug. 11, 12:59 p.m. Police took possession of a found red wallet and stored it in safekeeping until the owner can be notified.
Aug. 11, 11:12 p.m., East Old Matanuska Road. Responding to a local business for a reported disturbance with shots fired, police charged Cody Rice with fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons.
Aug. 11, 2:49 a.m., Parks Highway. Responding to a reported assault at an area saloon, police charged Jordan Lenaghen with fourth-degree assault.
Aug. 12, 4:56 p.m., South Seward Meridian Parkway. Responding to Walmart for a shoplifter previously barred from the store, police charged Destini Lawrence with fourth-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, Lawrence stole two bags of underwear and knowingly violated a criminal trespass at the store.
Aug. 13, 10:12 a.m., South Knik-Goose Bay Road-East Railroad Street. Following a traffic stop for moving violations, police charged Breanna Brevak for driving without a valid operator’s license.
Aug. 15, 6:54 p.m., North Peck Street-East Bogard Road. Responding to a reported motorcycle accident, police issued a summons to Jeremy Schulz for driving without a valid motorcycle license.
Aug. 16, 7:43 p.m., Whispering Woods-Hiro drives. Following a traffic stop, police arrested Jeffrey Brown for DUI controlled substance. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
Aug. 17, 5:11 p.m., Tanana Drive, Wasilla. Responding to a reported burglary in progress, troopers with the Criminal Suppression Unit arrested 31-year-old Amanda Brooks of Palmer for second-degree burglary. Police say Brooks unlawfully entered a structure during an attempted theft and was confronted by the property owner. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $1,000.
Aug. 18, 8:24 p.m., Mile 67, Parks Highway, Willow. Troopers arrested 31-year-old Michael Masek of Willow on an outstanding failure to appear warrant on the original charges of fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
Aug. 10, 6:37 p.m., Mile 4.5 Talkeetna Spur, Talkeetna. Troopers cited 25-year-old Casey Lloyd of Ohio for no motor vehicle insurance and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Lloyd was driving his vehicle with he lost control, drove into a ditch, and left the scene prior to police arrival. Troopers contacted him on Aug. 18 in Talkeetna.
Aug. 18, 6:34 p.m., Church Road, Wasilla. Troopers arrested 22-year-old Shayne Anselm of Willow on outstanding warrants and charged him with reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident. According to police, troopers were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision between a school bus and pickup truck. Troopers state two occupants in the pickup fled the scene prior to their arrival but were located in a wooded area a short distance from the crash. Anselm was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility. The additional charges are being forwarded to the Palmer district attorney’s office.
Aug. 18, 11:35 p.m., Cottle Loop, Wasilla. Following up on a reported disturbance, troopers arrested 31-year-old Noland Wright of Wasilla for third-degree assault. According to reports, Wright assaulted a family member. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
