Aug. 18, 7:34 p.m., East Parks Highway. Responding to a reported disturbance area local grocery store, police arrested Ryan Milline for fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree domestic violence assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. According to reports, Milline had assaulted a security guard and family member. After his arrest and in route to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility, police say they were forced to use “pepper’ spray to stop Milline from attempting to kick out the patrol car’s back window. Officers also state Milline intentionally covered the back windows in spit and mucus.

Aug. 19, 5:38 a.m. Following a REDDI report stop, police arrested Mary Bill for DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

Aug. 19, 10:55 p.m., South Seward Meridian Parkway. Responding to a reported shoplifting at Walmart, police charged Mandy Edelen with third-degree theft. According to police, she had stolen $269.22 in merchandise from the store.

Aug. 20, 1:31 p.m., Parks Highway. Police charged Kyle Mayeaux with fourth-degree assault.

Aug. 20, 4:49 p.m., East Glen Circle. Police continue an investigation into the reported theft of a 2010 Toyota Rav4 from a private residence.

Aug. 20, 6:31 p.m., West Parks Highway. Police continue investigation into a reported handgun theft. The complainant told officers the firearm had been taken from his unlocked vehicle but was unable to inform them of the exact location.

Aug. 20, 9:39 p.m., West Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a passed counterfeit $20 bill at an area fast food restaurant. According to reports, an unknown female fled the scene after attempting to use the bill to pay at Wendy’s restaurant. The employee refused to honor the fake bill and seized it.

Aug. 21, Parks Highway. Following up on a REDDI report, police arrested Tami Waska for DUI and endangering the welfare of a child. According to reports, Waska’s 2-year old child was inside the vehicle at the time she was stopped.

Aug. 21, 11:27 a.m., South Clapp Street. Police continue a criminal mischief investigation reported at the Menard Sports Complex. According to reports, connex boxes belonging to the City of Wasilla were damaged.

Aug. 21, 9:42 p.m., West Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a counterfeit currency complaint. Police say they were called to the Chevron station where a female told officers she was given the bill by a friend and was unaware it was counterfeit.

Aug. 22, 9:20 p.m., West Vaunda Avenue. Police continue investigating a reported criminal mischief complaint. According to reports, two vehicle tires had been slashed at a private residence.

Aug. 23, 3:48 p.m., South Hermon Road. Police continue investigating a reported burglary at a local resale shop. The complainant told officers someone broke into the establishment sometime between Aug. 16-23.

Aug. 23, 8:14 p.m., West Lake Lucille Drive. Police continue investigating a theft from a private residence. According to reports, officers were initially called out for a reported stuck vehicle on a nearby trail. The person making the call also discovered approximately $2,500 worth of property had been stolen from his locked, enclosed trailers. Police stated the stuck vehicle had also been reported stolen.

Aug. 23, 10:58 p.m., West Swanson Avenue. Police arrested Mark Tankersley for DUI. According to reports, Tankersley was stopped for speeding and running a red light. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

Aug. 24, 8:31 a.m., Wasilla Middle School, Bogard Road. Police charged a juvenile male with third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance through the Department of Juvenile Justice. According to reports, officers took a complaint of drug possession and sales.

Aug. 24, 9:53 a.m., West Swanson. Police continue an investigation to a reported theft and property damage at Wasilla Auto Mall. According to reports, the manager told officers a fence was damaged and items stolen from a customer’s vehicle.

Aug. 24, 9:37 a.m., North Lucille Street-West Isle Court. Police continue an investigation into a burglary after the fact. According to reports, the complainant told officers upon arriving at his job site, he discovered items in excess of $1,000 stolen from a work trailer.

Aug. 24, 10:17 a.m., Police continue investigating a reported criminal mischief complaint at Mudbusters Car Wash on South Knik-Goose Bay Road. According to police, the manager told officers that several male subjects had entered a wash bay, and attempted to pry open the vault. No coins were taken by the coin box and concrete wall were damaged.

Alaska State Troopers

Aug. 24, 12:22 p.m., Parks Highway-Hyer Road. Following a traffic stop for a moving violation, troopers arrested 31-year old Karl Sampson of Wasilla on an outstanding failure to appear arrest warrant on the original charge of DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $250.

Aug. 25, 10:48 a.m., Jim Creek, Palmer. While patrolling the Jim Creek area, troopers arrested 21-year old Kevin Allen of Palmer on an outstanding failure to appear warrant on the original charge of DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $100.

Aug. 28, Mile 138 Parks Highway, Trapper Creek. Following up on a REDDI report, troopers forwarded information on a suspect with documented mental health concerns to Anchorage Police Department and the district attorney’s office. According to reports, after receiving a report if a northbound vehicle near Mile 106 traveling at a high rate of speed with an erratic driver behind the wheel, troopers stopped the vehicle a short time later. According to reports, the driver exhibited extreme mental health issues and has a documented history of mental health issues. Police determined the vehicle was stolen out of Anchorage and returned it to the original owner.
