On December 4, 2017, Palmer Police arrested BRYAN LEE FISH, age 39 of Palmer, on a $500 warrant for Assault 4. FISH was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
On December 4, 2017, Palmer Police received a report from DON HAMMOND, age 59 of Palmer, that an aircraft belonging to Fly Around Alaska had been vandalized at the Palmer Municipal Airport.
On December 5, 2017, Palmer Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Moore Road and the Glenn Highway. One vehicle fled the scene before police arrival. Minor injuries were reported.
On December 6, 2017, Palmer Police issued a Summons to CASEY L. KINSORA, age 27 of Palmer, for Driving Without a Valid License.
On December 7, 2017, Palmer Police arrested CYNTHIA A. TIRAPELLI, age 38 of Wasilla, on a $50 cash warrant for Failure to Appear at Arraignment on an Original Charge of Driving with License Revoked. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
On December 7, 2017, Palmer Police arrested JODI C. SCOGGINS, age 43 of Palmer, on a $100 warrant for Failure to Appear at Arraignment on an Original Charge of No Motor Vehicle Insurance. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
On December 7, 2017, Palmer Policed issued a Summons to CYNTHIA A. TIRAPELLI, age 38 of Sutton, for Driving Without a Valid License.
On December 08, 2017, Palmer Police arrested JONATHAN M. MCLAUGHLIN on a $1000 warrant for Vehicle Theft 1 and Theft 2. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
On December 08, 2017, Palmer Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on West Evergreen Avenue. No injuries were reported.
On December 9, 2017, Palmer Police arrested TABETHA LORENE BISHOP, age 32 of Wasilla, on $300 in warrants for False Information and Concealment of Merchandise. BISHOP was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial.
On December 10, 2017, Palmer Police forwarded charges to the District Attorney’s Office on CORNELIUS MCBRIDE, Age 39 of Wasilla, for Theft 4.
On December 10, 2017, Palmer Police arrested LAURA L. RICE, age 60 of Palmer, for Driving Under the Influence. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was released on her own recognizance.

On 12/12/17 at 0322 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a disturbance on Duchess Drive. Investigation revealed that Starr Richards age 31 of Palmer had assaulted a family member and destroyed a family member’s property. Richards was subsequently arrested for Assault 4 DV and Criminal Mischief 4 DV and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was held without bail.

On 12/11/17 at 1901 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle accident at Fairview Loop and Togiak Ave. Investigation revealed that Angela Hoppe age 37 of Wasilla was driving westbound on Fairview Loop in her 2008 Chrysler 300 when she drove off the road and collided with a parked vehicle. Investigation revealed Hoppe was under the influence of alcohol and subsequently arrested for DUI and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where she was held on $500 bail. The vehicle was totaled in the collision and Hoppe reported wearing her seatbelt.

Investigation revealed an unknown vehicle struck and damaged an unoccupied white 2017 Dodge R150 pickup while parked on the side of E. Lazy Lady Lane at 1615 hours. The damage estimated at $1000. On December 11, 2017 Alaska State Trooper dispatch was contacted by Three Bears Grocery Loss Prevention personnel at Parks Highway and Pittman Road. GABRIELLE MELVINE GWARTNEY-MADISON age 18 of Wasilla was detained for shoplifting items that totaled $215.44. During the incident, G. GWARTNEY-MADISON assaulted the loss prevention personnel. G. GWARTNEY-MADISON was released at the scene. Charges of Assault in the 4th degree, Theft in the 4th degree, and Criminal Trespass in the 1st degree were forwarded to Palmer District Attorney.

On 12-11-17 at about 0002 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted a male, identified later as 25 year Wasilla resident Nick Patterson, near the intersection of Church and Pittman. Investigation revealed Patterson was on Probation for Theft 2nd, and had a pending Warrant for Probation Violation. He was arrested and remanded to MSPT where he was held without bail.

ORIGINAL TEXT: On 12/10/2017 at approximately 1944 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Schrock Road for a report of a "Carjacking." Investigation revealed a 29 year old male had his teal 1996 Chevrolet Blazer (AK Plate EXC282) stolen by two suspects, one of which was armed with a firearm. AST is investigating this incident and urge anyone with information to contact Troopers at 352-5401.

On 12/10/2017, a Palmer woman contacted AST dispatch to report a theft from BUTTE Road in Palmer. The woman stated someone had siphoned the fuel from a 2005 F250 Ford Pickup Truck sometime in the past 7 days. The amount of fuel taken was unknown but was approximately 20 gallons. The investigation is ongoing and the public is asked to contact Alaska State Trooper Dispatch at 352-5401 with any information.

On 12/10/2017 at approximately 1133 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a nine year old child who was missing from his residence near Grizzly Bear Dr. Wasilla. Troopers responded to the scene and began searching for the child. Mat-SAR was requested to assist in the search and responded to the scene. At approximately 1311 hours the child was located nearby and transported back to his residence without incident.

Gibbs was transported and remanded to Mat-Su pretrial with $500 bail cash corporate.

On 12/10/2017, at about 0851 hours, a passing motorist called MATCOM to report the Mendeltna Lodge located at about 154 of the Glenn Highway was on fire. AST and multiple Volunteer Fire Departments from the Glennallen area responded but were unable to save the structure which was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

On 12/08/2017 at approximately 2325 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a residence on Caribou Road in Wasilla for a disturbance. An investigation revealed Ivan Rand Julian, age 29 of Wasilla, had assaulted a family member and caused damage to that family members property. Julian was placed under arrest for the domestic violence crimes of Assault in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree. Julian was transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer where he was held without bail.

On 12/09/2017 at approximately 0301 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report from a homeowner on Hemmer Road in Palmer of an occupied Mazda CX7 which had driven through their yard and was parked in the tree line of their property. An investigation revealed Dena Rose Russell, age 22 of Wasilla, was driving on Hemmer Road when she drove up the homeowner’s driveway, through his yard and collided with a tree. Further investigation revealed Russell was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Russell was not injured in the collision and subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Russell was transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer.

On 12/09/2017 at approximately 2014 hours, Alaska State Troopers stopped to check a disabled vehicle blocking the southbound lane of travel near mile 98 of the Parks Highway in Talkeetna. An investigation revealed the driver, Nicholas Taylor Pedersen, age 18 of Talkeetna, was driving in violation of an instructors permit and in possession of marijuana. Pedersen was subsequently issued two misdemeanor citations for Driving in Violation of an Instructors Permit and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, with a notice to appear to the Palmer Courthouse on a later date.

On 12/9/17 at approximately 1100 hours, the Alaska State Troopers in Wasilla received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Clearview Loop. Investigation revealed 22 year old Manuel Galindo V assaulted someone in the residence. Troopers located Galindo after he left the scene and arrested him. Troopers transported Galindo to Mat-Su Pre-Trial where he was remanded and held without bail.

Investigation revealed a black, 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche, a black, 24' enclosed snow machine trailer, and four 2018 Polaris RMK 800 snow machines were stolen from the property.
