Wasilla Police Department

On December 8, 2017 at 0159 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a residence on N. Lucille Street for a reported disturbance between a male and a female. Following an investigation, Jeremy Smith was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 4th degree. Smith was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held without bail.

On December 8, 2017 at 1058 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. The complainant reported a handgun had been stolen from a residence on N. Indian Hill Court. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 8, 2017 at 1252 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop at W. Parks Highway and N. Church Road on a vehicle with a windshield so badly broken that it obstructed the driver's view. The driver was identified as Brandon Haxton who was found to be driving while his license was suspended and without motor vehicle liability insurance. Haxton was charged for the offenses through the District Attorney's office.

On December 8, 2017 at 1738 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the area of E. Parks Highway and N. Yenlo Street for a motor vehicle collision.

On December 8, 2017 at 2224 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Walmart for a shoplifting in progress. Officers made contact with Kenneth Halverson who was known to loss prevention personnel and had already been trespassed from the store. Halverson was charged with theft and trespassing through the District Attorney's office.

On December 9, 2017 at 0947 hours, Wasilla Police responded toW. Cache Drive near N. Executive Place after receiving a report of a male who was passed out in a vehicle at that location. Officers made contact with the male who was identified as Terrell Small. Small's vehicle contained drug paraphernalia and was subsequently impounded pending further investigation. After receiving approval to exercise a search warrant on the vehicle a small amount of brown tar substance was located and submitted to the crime lab for analysis with criminal charges pending the outcome of the results.

On December 9, 2017 at 1244 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the intersection of the Parks Highway and N. Lucille Street for a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles.

On December 9, 2017 at 1630 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the area of E. Parks Highway and N. Lucille Street after receiving a report of a hit and run collision. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 9, 2017 at 1805 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a hit and run collision on the Parks Highway near Main Street. A witness to the collision followed the suspect vehicle and was able to direct WPD officers to the location. The driver was identified as Gregory Lee who was charged with leaving the scene of a collision and no motor vehicle liability insurance through the District Attorney's office.

On December 10, 2017 at 0727 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a burglary at a residence on W. Cache Drive. An investigation revealed someone had illegally entered the victim's garage and stole multiple boxes of items. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 10, 2017 at 2228 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a reported single vehicle collision on N. Wasilla Fishhook Road. An investigation revealed the vehicle had been reportedly occupied by four individuals when it went off the roadway near Snohomish Drive. The vehicle rolled over once. The driver fled the scene. None of the vehicle's occupants were wearing seatbelts. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On December 11, 2017 at 0808 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the intersection of S. Knik Goose Bay Rd and S. Lakewood Avenue for a motor vehicle vs. moose collision. The moose was donated to charity.

On December 11, 2017 at 1220 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. The complainant reported someone had broken into their lot on E. Bogard Road and stolen more than $4,000 worth of items belonging to the Boy Scouts. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 3, 2017 at 0442 hours, Wasilla Police received a report that someone had siphoned gas out of a City of Wasilla vehicle at that location. Following an investigation, Keelan Ahern was charged with theft in the 4th degree through the District Attorney's office.

On December 12, 2017 at 1505 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop at N. Deskas Street and W. Parks Highway for speeding. The driver was identified as Jennifer White who was found to be driving while her license was revoked. A record check revealed an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest for failing to appear at a pretrial conference hearing on original charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence and refusing to submit to a breath test. White was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility.

On December 12, 2017 at 0031 hours, Wasilla Police took possession of a debit card which had been found in the parking lot of the Extreme Fun Center on E. Old Matanuska Road. Attempts are being made to contact the owner and the card was placed into safekeeping.

On December 12, 2017 at 2126 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the intersection of S. Knik Goose Bay Road and S. Eagle Eye for a reported motor vehicle collision with injuries. Driver Joseph Gaze fled the scene on foot, but was later identified and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle collision with injuries and assault in the 3rd degree through the District Attorney's office.

On December 13, 2017 at 0006 hours, Wasilla Police received multiple REDDI reports. Officers located the suspect vehicle and also observed erratic driving. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Anaolemaa Vee who was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Vee failed a series of field sobriety tests. Vee was subsequently arrested for felony DUI and driving while his license was revoked. Vee was held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail with a court approved third party custodian requirement.

On December 13, 2017 at 0500 hours, Wasilla Police located an occupied vehicle behind a residence on W. Cindy Circle. The vehicle had been evading police shortly before officers made contact with the occupants. Officers identified the occupants and seized the vehicle pending a search warrant. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 13, 2017 at 1224 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a hit and run collision. The complainant reported they had been pulling into his driveway on W. Nelson Avenue when a dark colored Chevy truck struck his vehicle and fled the scene. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 13, 2017 at 1542 hours, Wasilla Police responded to E. Danna Avenue for a reported disturbance. Following an investigation, Patricia Lewis was charged with domestic violence assault in the 4th degree through the District Attorney's office.

On December 13, 2017 at 1618 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Parks Highway at Boundary Street.

On December 13, 2017 at 1806 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant reported a black SSR XF250 Enduro style motorcycle had been stolen from a residence on S. Mack Drive sometime during the prior two weeks.

On December 13, 2017 at 1903 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the Carrs parking lot after receiving a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed Gregory Erhart was refusing to get out of a vehicle parked in the parking lot after having an argument with the vehicle's owner and punching them in the face causing minor injuries. Erhart eventually walked to the liquor store at that location while he was intoxicated and refused to leave after being told multiple times to leave by the store clerk and the store manager and challenging the manager to fight. After Erhart was arrested he threatened to murder law enforcement officers. Erhart was held without bail and charged with assault in the 4th degree, two counts of trespassing in the 2nd degree and disorderly conduct.

On December 13, 2017 at 1926 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of E. Parks Highway and Maney Drive. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Willie Boepple who was found to be in possession of illegal drugs. Boepple was charged with misconduct involving a controlled

substance in the 4th degree. The vehicle's driver was identified as Slade Storud who was issued multiple citations and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

On December 14, 2017 at 0309 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Weber Drive. A record check revealed the vehicle had been reported to AST as stolen on December 8th. One occupant of the vehicle was identified as Dennis Richards. Richards was charged with driving while his license was suspended and the vehicle was impounded for a drug investigation. The investigation into the vehicle theft will be completed by AST.

On December 14, 2017 at 0827 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of criminal mischief. The City of Wasilla employee reported someone had broken into the restrooms at Carter Park on S. Lake Street causing about $100 worth of damage to the door's lock.

On December 14, 2017 at 1448 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. An employee of Flowers By Louise reported the vehicle had been left idling at the side of the business on N. Yenlo Street when it was stolen. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 14, 2017 at 1812 hours, Wasilla Police were notified by AST that they had located a vehicle which had been reported stolen in Wasilla off of Tweed Court. The driver was identified as Matthew Sandvik who was arrested for Vehicle Theft in the 1st degree.

On December 14, 2017 at 1553 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at E. Bogard Road and N. Wasilla Fishhook Road.

On December 14, 2017 at 1802 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the intersection of E. Parks Highway and N. Crusey Street for a motor vehicle collision.

On December 14, 2017 at 1817 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on S. Knik Goose Bay Road near S. Eagle Eye Circle.

On December 14, 2017 at 2045 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Value Village after receiving a report of a shoplifting in progress. Upon police arrival, the suspect vehicle fled the scene. Officers found the suspect vehicle attempting to hide nearby behind the Chevron gas station. The suspect was identified as Cole Ward who was found wearing six pairs of jeans and four t-shirts he had stolen from Value Village valued at $115.86. A search of the area where Ward was found revealed a hidden 9 mm pistol along with evidence that he was the person who had hid the weapon. A record check revealed the weapon had been stolen out of Anchorage earlier in the year and Ward was also a convicted felon. Ward was arrested for misconduct involving a weapon in the 3rd degree, theft by receiving

in the 2nd degree and theft in the 4th degree. Ward was held in lieu of $1,500 bail, pending arraignment.

On December 14, 2017 at 2123 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Fred Meyer for a reported shoplifter in custody. Jennifer Flyum had stolen $264 worth of merchandise. Flyum was charged with theft in the 3rd degree through the District Attorney's office.

On 12/15/17 at 2215 hours, AST responded to a vehicle in the ditch on McMillan Drive in Wasilla and contacted Michael Lanz, age 28 of Wasilla, next to a white 1998 Ford Mustang. Investigation revealed Lanz was driving under the influence of alcohol and drove the Mustang into the ditch. Lanz had 3 prior convictions for DUI in the preceding 7 years and his license was revoked for a previous Felony DUI conviction. Lanz was arrested for the original charges of Felony DUI and DWLR. Lanz also failed to provide a breath sample for the Datamaster and was also charged with Felony Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. Lanz was remanded into the MSPT facility where he was held on $5,000 bail with a court approved third party condition.

On 12/16/17 at 0345 hours, AST responded to Burma Road in Big Lake for the report of a theft from yards. Investigation revealed a male in a 1990's model Chevy pick-up stole tools from a trailer on the property. AST is requesting anyone with information about the incident or suspicious activity in the area to contact Crime Stoppers at 745-3333 or AST dispatch at 352-5401.

On 12/15/17, at approximately 1946 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle collision near the intersection of the Palmer-Wasilla Hwy and E. Equestrian St. in Palmer. Investigation revealed Jung Kim, age 62, of Palmer, was driving west on the Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. when her 2003 Chevrolet minivan lost traction on the ice, exit the roadway and rolled down an embankment. A passenger in Kim's vehicle was left entrapped and required EMS to extricate him from the vehicle. Both Kim and her passenger were transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital after sustaining non-life threatening injuries.

On December 15, 2017 at about 1500 hour, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a burglary that had occurred at a residence off of June Lane in Wasilla. Investigation revealed someone forcefully entered a residence and stole a firearm along with other items within the last three weeks. Anyone with information reference this incident is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401.

On 12/15/17 at approximately 1141 hours Troopers responded for a report of a motor vehicle collision on Hollywood Rd. at the intersection with EZ St. Investigation revealed Robert Snider, age 64 of Wasilla was Westbound on Hollywood Rd. when he lost control of his 1989 Chevy pickup truck and struck a 1999 Jeep operated by Clinton Kerr age 43 of Wasilla. Snider was subsequently arrested for DUI and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on $1000 bail.

On December 15, 2017 at about 1615 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two motor vehicles. Investigation revealed Donny Haag, 37 of Big Lake, was operating his 2009 Silver Dodge 2500 pickup truck when he collided with a 2010 Hyundai Elantra occupied by four individuals. One of the juvenile passengers received minor injuries and was released from the scene. Further investigation revealed Haag was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Haag was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial without incident.

On 12/13/17 at approximately 1649 hours, the Alaska State Troopers contacted 59 year old Jimmy Moody of Wasilla on a traffic stop on the Parks Highway near Pittman Road. Investigation revealed Moody was driving his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Troopers arrested Moody and transported him to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.

On Dec 14, 17 at approximately 1315, Alaska State Troopers Judicial Services in Palmer contacted Gerald Humbarger Jr age 29 of Anchorage at the Palmer Courthouse, Investigation revealed that Gerald Humbarger had a no bail outstanding warrant for his arrest (original charge Violating Court Order DVPO). Gerald was arrested and remanded to MSPT.

On 12-14-17 at about 1602 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop at the end of Tweed Court on a 2000 Green Subaru. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Wasilla approximately 1 hour before. The driver was detained and turned over to Wasilla Police who continued the investigation into the vehicle theft. A passenger, identified as 27 year old Wasilla resident Randi Greene, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest for MICS 4th. She was arrested and remanded to MSPT where she was held on $500 bail.
