On 12-25-17 Alaska State Troopers contacted CODY ROBERT FRICHTL age 30 of Anchorage. C. FRICHTL was contacted after being involved in a minor motor vehicle accident. The vehicle had been called in as a REDDI earlier in the day. Investigation revealed C. FRICHTL was driving under the influence. He was arrested and remanded to Matsu Pretrial. Bail was set at $500 cash corporate.

On 12/26/17 at 0439 hours, Troopers received a report that Duane Anderson age 46 of Palmer entered a family members house near Soapstone Road in Palmer without permission. Investigation revealed that Duane had entered the residence thru a doggie door and was sleeping on the couch when Troopers arrived. Duane was arrested for Criminal Trespass 1 DV and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held without bail.

On 12/19/17, at approximately 2004 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to an address on Peninsula Drive for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that Jason Hale, age 45 of Meadow Lakes, attempted to hit a neighbor with snow from his snowplow during an ongoing neighbor dispute. Charges are being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.

On 12/24/2017 at approximately 2013 hours, AST received a report of a disturbance on W Goldstreak Drive in Big Lake. Investigation revealed a 60 year old Big Lake male recklessly placed a 64 year old Big Lake male in fear of a firearm when the suspect shot a gun towards the victim. No one was injured in the incident and charges for this report are being forwarded to the DA Office.

On 12/23/17, at approximately 2300 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the vicinity of the intersection of Big Lake Road and Fish Creek Road for a report of mail theft and criminal mischief. Investigation revealed that some time on 12/23/17, suspect(s) broke into and stole mail from multiple mail boxes at the location. On 12/25/2017 at approximately 0316 hours, AST received a report of a vehicle theft from a 32 year old Wasilla female. The vehicle is a red Subaru Outback (AK Plate GBK716) and was taken from E Beaver Ave. in Wasilla. The Troopers are requesting that anyone with information on this incident to contact the Troopers at 352-5401.

On 12-25-17 at about 0033 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Bogard and Grumman for a reported vehicle off the road. Investigation revealed the driver, identified as 26 year old Palmer resident Joseph Francisco, was operating the vehicle while under the influence. Further, he refused to provide a sample of his breath when requested. He was arrested and remanded to MSPT and held until sober.

On 12/24/2017 at approximately 2228 hours, AST responded to a residence on Paddock Drive in Wasilla for a report of a physical fight in progress. An investigation revealed Ropati Campbell-Taunuu, 44 YOA of Wasilla, assaulted a family member. Ropati was arrested and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer. No Bail.

On 12/24/2017 at 1508 hours, AST dispatch received a report of a suspicious person on a property Retreat Ave in Palmer. Troopers from the Palmer Post responded to investigate. Upon arrival, Troopers contacted a male that reported his wife interrupted an unknown male in the residence that was digging through her purse. The female shouted at the male and he left the residence without stealing anything. General descriptions of the male were given. A search of the area revealed no additional leads. Investigation continues at this time.

On 12/24/2017 at 1617 hours, AST Dispatch received a 911 call in which the caller reported he was in contact with a male that was stealing gas from airplanes at the Butte Airstrip off of the Old Glenn Hwy in Palmer. Troopers responded but the suspect fled the scene prior to trooper arrival. The caller took photos of the vehicle and the suspect. On 12/25/2017 at approximately 1340 hours, troopers on patrol observed the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on the Old Glenn Hwy in Palmer. Investigation reveals the driver, Michael Paul Scott (age 38 of Palmer), admitted to stealing gas from an airplane and checking for fuel in another on the Butte Airstrip. Further investigation shows evidence of Scott checking other aircraft for fuel as well. The truck Scott was driving was impounded and he was remanded into Mat Su Pre-trial on $10,000 bail for Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree and five counts of Attempted Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.

On 12/24/2017 at approximately 0017 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to the area of Burlwood Ln and Bogard Rd in Wasilla for a report of a welfare check on a 2002 Gray Chevrolet Silverado. After troopers made initial contact, the suspect accelerated away at a high rate of speed. Investigation revealed Arthur Bean, age 35, of Wasilla was driving while license suspended. Charges of Failure to Stop at the Direction of a Police Officer in the First Degree as well as DWLS were forwarded to the D.A.O.

On 12/24/2017 at approximately 1815 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 green Dodge Ram 1500 pickup for having expired tabs on the Parks Highway and Aspen Drive in Wasilla. An investigation revealed the rear seat passenger David Alan Beaty, 38 YOA of Wasilla, had an active $500 arrest warrant for Theft in the Third Degree 3PA-17-1713CR. Beaty was arrested without incident and remanded into custody at Matsu Pretrial in Palmer.

On December 23, 2017 at about 1434 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a possible theft of a motorcycle in progress in the area of Meadow Lakes Drive in Wasilla. The suspect vehicle was located and a suspect has been developed. The motorcycle was recovered. Further investigation revealed the suspect/s entered the residence the motorcycle was at and took multiple items. Investigation continues.
