On December 22, 2017 at 1022 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the Tesoro gas station at the intersection of the Palmer Wasilla Highway and the Parks Highway after receiving a report of an attempt at passing a counterfeit bill at that location. The case is currently under investigation.
On December 22, 2017 at 1358 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the intersection of E. Parks Highway and N. Crusey Street for a motor vehicle collision.
On December 22, 2017 at 2326 hours, Wasilla Police made contact with Timothy Drake at Sears regarding a shoplifting investigation. Drake failed to immediately notify police he was carrying a concealed weapon. Drake was arrested for misconduct involving weapons in the 5th degree and remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility.
On December 23, 2017 at 1105 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the Tesoro gas station at the intersection of the Parks and Palmer Wasilla Highways after receiving a report of the use of a counterfeit bill. The case is currently under investigation.
On December 23, 2017 at 1134 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a individuals attempting to break into a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. When officers arrived on scene the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle doing 55 miles per hour and continued to try to elude police. The driver; Heljay Billuk eventually came to a stop. A record check revealed the vehicle had been stolen out of Anchorage. Billuk was arrested for failing to stop at the direction of a peace officer in the 1st degree, leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries, theft in the 2nd degree, vehicle theft in the 1st degree, two counts of criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, assault in the 1st degree, failing to maintain liability insurance and misuse of a vehicle registration. The vehicle's passenger was identified as Bethany Porotesano who was arrested for theft in the 2nd degree and criminal mischief in the 5th degree.
On December 23, 2017 at 1710 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the Carrs parking lot after receiving a report of a hit and run collision. The case is currently under investigation.
On December 23, 2017 at 1740 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Sportsman's Warehouse on E. Parks Highway after receiving a report of a shoplifter who was being detained and uncooperative. The suspect lied several times about his identity and was arrested for theft in the 4th degree and false information. The suspect was later identified as Brandon Romano who was found to have several outstanding warrants for his arrest.
On December 24, 2017 at 1450 hours, Wasilla Police received a REDDI report on an intoxicated male leaving Sportsman's Warehouse. Officers located and stopped the vehicle after it almost struck another vehicle. The driver was identified as James Carr who admitted to drinking earlier in the day. An investigation revealed Carr was too intoxicated to be driving and he was subsequently arrested for DUI and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility.
On December 25, 2017 at 1801 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on N. Lucille Street at E. Spruce Avenue. Driver Stacia Eggleston was cited for failing to exercise due care to avoid a collision.
On December 25, 2017 at 2032 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a residence on E. Kalli Circle after receiving a report of a disturbance. Following an investigation, Roosevelt Hearod was arrested for violating a domestic violence protective order.
On December 25, 2017 at 2108 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a disturbance at a residence on W. Vaunda Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and separated the individuals who were fighting. Following an investigation, Jordan Millican was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 4th degree. Millican was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held without bail pending arraignment.
On December 26, 2017 at 2309 hours, Wasilla Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on E. Parks Highway which was occupied by David Shuldham. Shuldham was in possession of several gift cards, department store reward cards and a debit card that did not belong to him. The cards were seized and placed into safekeeping at the Wasilla Police Department. A record check revealed three outstanding felony warrants for his arrest for parole violations and failing to appear on original weapon and drug charges. Shuldham was arrested on the warrants and additionally cited for an expired registration, a modified exhaust system, failing to carry a valid driver's license and failing to register his vehicle.
On December 28, 2017 at 0353 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the area of Mile 2 of Knik Goose Bay Road after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. On scene, officers made contact with Seth Mayer who was found to be operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Mayer was arrested for DUI and refusal to submit to a chemical test and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility.
On December 28, 2017 at 0746 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on E. Swanson Avenue and N. Main Street.
On December 28, 2017 at 0935 hours, Wasilla Police received information regarding the location of a stolen vehicle and responded to a residence on W. Cache Drive. The vehicle, which had been stolen out of Anchorage, was parked at the residence. Officers made contact with Rose Soto-Maranjo who stated she had been temporarily given the vehicle from "Johnny G" and drove it. The vehicle was recovered and released to the rightful owner. The case is currently under
investigation.

On 12/29/2017 at approximately 1900 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1989 Chevrolet sedan near mile 111 of the Parks Highway in Trapper Creek for a moving violation. An investigation revealed the driver, Alexander Cole Roark, age 20 of Anchorage was in unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving without motor vehicle liability insurance and in violation of his probation. Roark was placed under arrest, transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer.

On 12-29-17, at approximately 1230 hours, Alaska State Troopers, Palmer Judicial Services warrant unit responded to the Palmer DMV in Palmer for a warrant service on Carole Wiltgen, age 69 of Talkeetna. Wiltgen was contacted and arrested on an outstanding warrant for fraud and theft 1st. Wiltgen was arrested without incident and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial. Bail was set at $5,000.00 cash.

On 12/27/2017 at approximately 1841 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle collision with a moose near mile 116 of the Parks Highway in Trapper Creek. Julian Mehnle, age 39, of California, was driving a 2016 Ford Escape northbound on the Parks when he collided with the moose. Mehnle suffered minor injuries from the collision. A local charity was contacted to salvage the animal.

On 12/27/2017 at approximately 2107 hours, Alaska State Troopers contacted Eya Ciaravino, age 42 of Willow, at a residence on Hidden Hills Road in Willow. An investigation revealed Ciaravino had two active warrants for her arrest for failure to appear on the original charges of DUI and Assault 4. Ciaravino was arrested for the warrants, transported and remanded at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility in Palmer.

On 12/28/2017 at approximately 2134 hours, Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on an orange, 1976 GMC pickup, driven by Ian McCloud Lleshi, age 34 of Willow, on Bendapole Road for erratic driving. An investigation revealed the vehicle’s registration expired in 2010 but bore a 2019 expiration tab from a different vehicle. Lleshi was subsequently issued a misdemeanor citation for Improper Use of Registration, with a notice to appear to the Palmer Courthouse on a later date.
