Wasilla Police Department

On December 1, 2017 at 1145 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a residence on S. Rogers Circle for a reported theft. The complainant reported fuel had been stolen from a vehicle at their residence. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 1, 2017 at 1823 hours, Wasilla Police responded to McDonald's restaurant after receiving a report of a counterfeit bill having been passed there. Officers took possession of the counterfeit $20 bill and the case is currently being investigated.

On December 3, 2017 at 1934 hours, Wasilla Police responded to Cold Stone Creamery on E. Parks Highway after receiving a report of a counterfeit bill having been passed there. Officers took possession of the counterfeit $100 bill and the case is currently being investigated.

On December 4, 2017 at 1127 hours, Wasilla Police were contacted by an off-duty WPD officer who reported someone known to have a stop and hold was in Fred Meyer. On scene officers also made contact with David Frank Anderson who was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest for failing to appear at a change of plea hearing on original charges of DUI, no motor vehicle liability insurance, driving while his license was revoked and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the 4th and sth degrees. Anderson was arrested and transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility.

On December 4, 2017 at 1524 hours, Wasilla Police took a report of fraud from an employee of Taco Bell. The complainant reported a counterfeit $100 bill had been passed at that location. The bill was seized and placed into evidence.

On December 5, 2017 at 0155 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the Grand View Inn on E. Parks Highway for a reported disturbance. On scene, officers made contact with Ralph Anderson. An investigation revealed Anderson was in unlawful contact with a female in violation of his domestic violence related conditions of release. Anderson also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest for failure to appear. Anderson was arrested on the warrant and additionally charged with domestic violence assault in the 4th degree through the District Attorney's office.

On December 5, 2017 at 0712 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Knik Goose Bay Road at Lakewood.

On December 5, 2017 at 1243 hours, Wasilla Police took a report of fraud from an employee at the Tesoro station at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Main Street. An investigation revealed someone had passed a counterfeit $50 bill. The bill was seized and the case remains under investigation.

On December 5, 2017 at 1351 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the intersection of E. Snohomish Avenue and N. Wasilla Fishhook Road for a reported disturbance. Following an investigation, Sean Talcott was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 4th degree. Talcott was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility where he was held without bail.

On December 5, 2017 at 1553 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of fraud. An employee at First National Bank on E. Parks Highway reported they had received a counterfeit $100 bill. The bill was seized and the case is currently under investigation.

On December 6, 2017 at 0949 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the area of Bogard Road and Peck Street after receiving a report of a male passed out in a vehicle. An investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen out of Anchorage on December 5th. The occupant of the vehicle was identified as Jason Hundley who was subsequently arrested for vehicle theft in the 1st degree and theft in the 2nd degree. Hundley was transported to the Mat-Su Pretrial facility with bail

set at $5,000 and a court approved third party custodian.

On December 6, 2017 at 1349 hours, Wasilla Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Parks Highway at Main Street. Driver Micah Poston was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for the offense and additionally issued citations for failing to exercise due care to avoid a collision and failure to provide proof of insurance.

On December 6, 2017 at 1546 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of fraud. The complainant, an employee of First National Bank Alaska on E. Parks Highway reported finding a counterfeit $100 bill. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 6, 2017 at 2034 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the AT&T Wireless store on E. Parks Highway for a reported theft. An investigation revealed Justin Jacobsen had stolen $300 worth of merchandise. Jacobsen was arrested and charged with theft in the 3'd degree, violating his conditions of release and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the 4th degree.

On December 6, 2017 at 2052 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. It was reported that the treasurer of the Arctic Warriors Wresting Club had stolen approximately $14,000 from the club over the past year. The case is currently under investigation.

On December 6, 2017 at 2237 hours, Wasilla Police responded to the Holiday station on N. Boundary Street were a significant amount of methamphetamine and heroin had been found unsecured outside of the store. The drugs were seized along with evidence of distribution. A further investigation is being conducted to determine the owner of the items.

On December 7, 2017 at 0907 hours, Wasilla Police received a report of a theft. The complainant reported a theft from the Valley Board of Realtors. The case is currently under investigation.

Alaska State Troopers

On 12/8/2017 at approximately 1152 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a REDDI report on a white station wagon bearing Alaska plate #GSX459. Investigation revealed Benjamin Wilson age 39 of Wasilla, was driving while impaired with controlled substance. Wilson was transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center where he was released and treated for pre-existing health issues. The charge of DUI is being forwarded to the Palmer District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

On December 8, 2017 at about 1600 hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a stolen gray 2002 Land Rover, bearing Alaska registration JGU790, from a residence off of Kim Drive in Wasilla. Further investigation revealed a Craftsman generator and tools were in the vehicle as well. Anyone with information reference this incident is asked to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 352-5401.
