July 15, 7:14, Inner Springer-Outer Springer loops, Palmer. Troopers arrested 46-year-old Eric Duffey of Wasilla on charges of first-degree failure to stop at the direction of a police officer. According to reports, police attempted to stop a pickup for speeding. A pursuit ensued which troopers say continued until the vehicle was immobilized. Duffey was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
July 15, 10:26 p.m., Tesla Circle, Talkeetna. Called to investigate a reported disturbance, troopers arrested 51-year-old Kevin James McCann on charges of fourth-degree domestic violence assault. Police report McCann assaulted a family member. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility with no bail.
July 17, 4:44 a.m., Paddock Drive, Wasilla. Responding to a report of theft from a vehicle, troopers arrested 23-year-old Venny Perez of Wasilla on charges of third-degree and fourth-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass. According to reports, upon arrival troopers observed Perez fleeing the area on foot and took him into custody. Police say Perez had unlawfully entered three vehicles stealing items valued at $850 from two of them. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $500 bail.
July 18, 12:30 a.m., Schrock Road-Shushana Drive, Wasilla. Contacting the driver of a suspicious vehicle, troopers arrested 35-year-old Kristopher C. Simpson of Big Lake for a $100 outstanding arrest warrant on the original charge of driving while license suspended. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility and held on the warrant bail.
July 11, Bonnie Lake. Wildlife troopers cited 40-year-old James Koser of Anchorage for sport fishing with two poles. Bail was set at $110.
July 16, Loberg Lake. Wildlife troopers cited 20-year-old Steve Wilson of Chugiak for sport fishing with two poles. Bail was set at $110.
