July 22, 10 a.m., Glennallen. Called to investigate a robbery at the Caribou Hotel, troopers arrested 21-year old Walter Uptegraft and 18-year old Jakob Engebretson for second-degree theft. Police say their investigation revealed the hotel’s night clerk and an accomplice stole cash from the establishment.

July 25, 7:18 p.m., Dawn Lake Drive, Wasilla. Responding to a 911 call, troopers arrested 31-year old Amy Caswell of Wasilla on an outstanding failure to comply ASAP warrant on the original charge of DUI. She remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $50 bail.

July 25, 6:49 p.m., Beaver Lake Drive-Rocky Street, Big Lake. Responding to a single-vehicle rollover, troopers arrested 29-year old Zachary Williams of Big Lake for DUI. According to reports, Williams , who police report was wearing a seatbelt, was operating an SUV when he lost control resulting in the vehicle rolling in the ditch. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on his own recognizance.

July 21, 5:30 p.m. , Eklutna Tailrace. Wildlife troopers cited 42-year old Jacob Vang and 33-year old Kelly Saechoa-Vang, both of Anchorage, for attempting to snag. According to reports, both individuals were trying to snag fish from a freshwater river. After issuing citations, both were released from the scene.

July 23. Fish Creek, Wasilla. Wildlife troopers cited 26-year old Joshua Vermote of Anchorage, and 29-year old Veronica Dennison of Wasilla for fishing in closed waters. Each was issued a $110 citation.
