June 24, Parks Highway-Vine Road. Following a traffic stop, troopers issued a summons with a mandatory court appearance to 37-year-old William Lester Murray of Wasilla for driving with a revoked license and improper use of plates. According to reports, the vehicle plate had been tampered with and a September tab had been placed over the original March tab.
June 17, 5:10 p.m., Cradiff-Seven Peaks roads, Wasilla. Called to investigate a motor vehicle accident, troopers arrested 32-year-old Brent Ralph Shriver of Wasilla on DUI charges. According to reports, an individual called dispatch stating Shriver had crashed his vehicle. Troopers stated when contacted, Shriver smelled of alcohol and was wobbly, staggered and stumbled when he walked. Police reported his preliminary blood alcohol level was .342.
July 2, 9:32 p.m., Talkeetna. Responding to a disturbance call at the Talkeetna boat launch, troopers arrested 65-year-old John Hehnlin of Anchorage on violating condition of release for the original charges of first-degree arson and third-degree domestic violence assault. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
July 2, 8:30 p.m., Peninsula Drive, Wasilla. Responding to a suspicious activity report, troopers arrested Cydnee Weeg of Wasilla on a failure to appear warrant on the original charge of DUI. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $50 bail.
July 3, 5:45 p.m., Parks Highway-Hyer Road, Wasilla. Responding to a motor vehicle collision, troopers arrested 24-year-old Angela Idzinski, a passenger in the crashed vehicle. Police say Idzinski had three outstanding arrest warrants for criminal trespass and probation violation. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $150 bail.
July 3, 9:56 p.m., Bettina-Museum Drive, Wasilla. Following a traffic stop, troopers arrested a vehicle passenger, 23-year-old Courtney Bauman, on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was originally charged with fourth-degree theft. Bauman was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $200 bail.
July 4, 3:02 a.m., Wasilla. Attempting a traffic stop, troopers cited 30-year-old Scott Hansen for failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer. According to reports, police attempted to stop a pickup driven by Hansen who continued operating the vehicle for more than a quarter-mile before pulling into a driveway.
July 4, 10:06 p.m., Mile 8 Knik-Goose Bay Road, Wasilla. Troopers arrested 45-year-old Martin Vandever of Wasilla on a failure to appear warrant on the original charge of misuse of plates. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $50 bail.
July 2, 8:15 p.m., Big Lake Road-Parks Highway, Houston. Responding to a REDDI report, troopers arrested 28-year-old Taylor Lucas of Wasilla for DUI of a controlled substance. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on his own recognizance.
July 3, 3:19 a.m., North Wampam Circle-East Blind Nick Drive, Wasilla. Following a traffic stop for a moving violation, troopers arrested 23-year-old Jessica Murray of Wasilla for DUI. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on her own recognizance.
July 5, 7:10 p.m., Mile 10 Old Glenn Highway, Butte. Troopers are seeking the public’s help in solving a reported fuel theft. According to reports, sometime in the previous six months, culprits stole approximately 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel and damaged approximately $400 in personal property when repeatedly entering private property to steal fuel in small amounts. Anyone with information is asked to contact AST at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
July 4, 10:03 p.m., Mile 98 Parks highway, Talkeetna. Troopers arrested 42-year-old Adam Keizur of Talkeetna for DUI. According to reports, Keizur was operating an ATV at the time. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on his own recognizance.
July 5, 11 p.m., Mile 99 Parks Highway, Talkeetna. Troopers arrested 26-year- old Christopher Price of Anchorage for first-degree burglary, third-degree theft and two outstanding warrants. According to reports, Price had unlawfully entered a dwelling and stole approximately $900 worth of household goods. Further investigation revealed Price had two outstanding failure to appear warrants for third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft. Troopers located Price at a nearby cabin. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
June 27-28, 10 p.m.-4 a.m, Eklutna Tailrace. Conducting an undercover sport fishing patrol after receiving numerous complaints of late night-early morning illegal fishing activity, wildlife troopers issued the following citations:
•Sergio G. Severance, 27, of Palmer, cited for failing to release a king salmon hooked other than in the mouth. Bail set at $260 and the fish was seized.
•Olin B. Henry, 31, of Anchorage, cited for failing to release a king salmon hooked other than in the mouth and failure to record his harvest immediately. Bail set at $370 and one king salmon was seized.
•Solomona Siaulaiga, 52, of Anchorage, cited for failing to release a king salmon hooked other than in the mouth, failure to record his harvest immediately and exceeding his annual bag limit of king salmon. Total bail set at $630 and one King Salmon was seized.
•Patrick Tauanuu, 41, of Anchorage, cited for failing to release a king salmon hooked other than in the mouth. Bail set at $260 and one King Salmon was seized.
•Iunisefa Siaulaiga, 28, of Anchorage, cited for failing to release a king salmon hooked other than in the mouth, failure to record his harvest immediately and sport fishing in closed waters. Total bail set at $480 and one king salmon was seized.
•Daniel Pule, 25, of Anchorage, arrested on an outstanding Anchorage Police Department warrant.
July 3, 12:15 a.m., Eklutna Tailrace. Wildlife troopers cited 25-year-old Kyle Hettrick of Wasilla for failing to immediately record harvesting a king salmon prior to transporting it from the fishing site. Bail was set at $110.
July 4, 3 p.m., Eklutna Tailrace. Following a routine license check, wildlife troopers cited 62-year-old Cecil Rideout of New Brunswick for king salmon sport fishing without purchasing or possessing a nonresident king salmon tag. Bail was set at $210.
July 4, 3:50 p.m., Eklutna Tailrace. Wildlife troopers cited 34-year old Michael Galloway of Wasilla for not recording a king salmon harvest on his license as required. Troopers state they watched Galloway harvest, fillet and conceal the fish and contacted him as he was departing the area. Bail was set at $110.
July 4, 4:05p.m., Eklutna Tailrace. Wildlife troopers cited 27-year-old Patrick G. Hopson of Nuiqsut for failing to record the catch on his license as required. According to reports, a king salmon was observed in the trunk of his vehicle when opened by a fishing partner who was loading a king salmon. Troopers state that Hopson had harvested the fish approximately five hours earlier. Bail was set at $110.
July 4, 5:30 p.m., Fairview Loop-West Carl, Wasilla. Responding to a reported hit and run, wildlife troopers and AST arrested 26-year-old Matheau Thomas Osgood of Wasilla for felony DUI and hit and run. According to reports, the victim of the hit and run was following Osgood when making the call to dispatch. Troopers contacted the F-350 construction truck towing a trailer and discovered Osgood driving. Further investigation revealed Osgood had two prior DUI convictions in 2014, making the current charge a felony. Police state Osgood’s blood alcohol content (BAC) registered .232. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with a $1,000 appearance bond and a $5,000 performance bond with a court-appointed third party custodian. The victim was uninjured.
July 5, Montana Creek, Talkeetna. Wildlife troopers issued the following citations for sport fishing in closed waters to: Preston Prado of Anchorage, Chad Reynvaan of Anchorage, Cheng Vang of Anchorage, and Koua Vang of Anchorage. Bail was set at $110 on each offender.
June 26. Police arrested 38-year old Angela Ferris of Palmer for DUI and cited her for second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility and later released on her own recognizance.
June 26, Police arrested 31-year old Desiree Tait of Palmer for second and fourth-degree theft as well as tampering with physical evidence. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $1,500.
June 30. Police arrested 22-year old Carlin C. Lupie of Palmer for DUI. He was remanded to mat-Su Pretrial and later released on his own recognizance.
July 2. Police arrested 38-year old Joseph Osborne of Palmer for fourth-degree assault. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
July 2. Police arrested 47-year old Leon Y. Kitagawa of Palmer for fourth-degree assault. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
July 2. Police arrested 40-year old James Anthony Gainey of Wasilla for disorderly conduct and fourth-degree assault on a police officer. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $500.
