June 15, 10:32 p.m., Palmer. Troopers arrested 31-year-old Robert Kelso of Palmer on DUI charges. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released on his own recognizance.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers
June 14, Deshka River. Wildlife Troopers cited 37-year-old Reginald Slocumbe of Eagle River for failure to immediately log a king salmon greater than 20 inches on his sport fishing license. Bail was set at $110.
June 12, Willow Creek. Wildlife Troopers cited 48-year-old Brett Rouse of Hawaii for fishing without a 2017 sport fishing license. Bail was set at $110.
Wasilla Police Department
June 9, 5:04 p.m., Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a reported stolen wallet from a man shopping at Carrs.
June 9, 6:04 p.m., Parks Highway. Police charged Yolana John with fourth-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, officers responded to a shoplifter in custody at Fred Meyer and allege John, who had been previously trespassed from the store, had attempted to steal $62.87 in merchandise.
June 9, 10:43 p.m., Parks Highway. Responding to a reported shoplifter complaint at Carrs, Police charged Vaughan Erickson with contributing to the delinquency of a minor through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, Erickson utilized a juvenile to steal items from the store.
June 10, 12;22 p.m., Parks Highway. Responding to a disturbance complaint at an area shopping mall parking lot, police charged Shana Stryken with fourth-degree domestic violence assault. Officers state she and her boyfriend were in a parked vehicle screaming at one another when police arrived and that she had physically injured the man. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility and held until arraignment. The male was treated by medics at the scene.
June 10, 2:51 p.m., East Rosewood Drive. Responding to a reported disturbance, police arrested Cody Glenn on charges of fourth-degree domestic violence assault and an outstanding warrant. According to reports, Glenn had assaulted a female at the residence and had an outstanding failure to appear warrant on the original charge of driving without a valid license.
June 11, 3:50 a.m., North Deskas Street-West Parks Highway. Conducting a speeding violation stop, police arrested Bailey Maxwell for DUI. Maxwell was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
June 11, 8:30 p.m., Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into the reported theft of items from a parked vehicle at Hacienda Restaurant.
June 11, 1:58 p.m., Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a reported shoplifting complaint at Carrs. Officers state a male and female suspect had fled the area prior to the arrival of police.
June 13, 1:32 p.m., Parks Highway. Police forwarded fourth-degree theft charges to juvenile intake on a juvenile shoplifter at Fred Meyer. According to reports, the youth had stolen in excess of $28 in merchandise.
June 13, 2:16 p.m., Parks Highway-Boundary Street. Police continue an investigation into reported counterfeit currency passed at a local business.
June 15, 3:19 a.m., East Sun Mountain Avenue. Police charged Hawley Crawford and Steven Peldo Jr. with second-degree theft and first-degree trespassing through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, officers discovered two people, later identified, stealing a generator, outboard motor, gas cans, a chainsaw and fishing equipment from parked boats at an area business.
June 15, 8:48 a.m., East Parks Highway-East Palmer Wasilla Highway. Responding to a REDDI report, police arrested Amanda Baruskoff for DUI. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility.
June 15, 2:58 p.m., Parks Highway. Responding to a juvenile shoplifter in custody complaint, police charged the youth with fourth-degree theft from juvenile intake for stealing merchandise valued in excess of $25.
June 15, 8:58 p.m., South Seward Meridian Parkway. Responding to a fight in progress complaint, police arrested Gregory Mitchell for DUI, refusal to submit to a chemical test and two counts of third-degree assault. Mitchell allegedly collided with a vehicle and almost hit two people standing close by. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
June 15, 8:20 p.m., South Knik-Goose Bay Road. Conducting a traffic stop for inaccurate license plates, police arrested Karen Jackson and Jeffrey Moore on outstanding warrants. Police reported the vehicle was seized pending issuance of a search warrant.
