June 16, 7:50 p.m., Clapp Street, Wasilla. Conducting a traffic stop for an equipment violation, troopers arrested 50-year old James Baehm of Wasilla on an outstanding fugitive from justice warrant. According to reports, Baehm had an extraditable probation warrant for his arrest out of Texas on the original charge of carrying a prohimited weapon by a felon. Additionally, police say Baehm had a $5,000 warrant out of Anchorage on two counts of second-degree theft. Baehm was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail pending extradition. The vehicle was released to a family member.

June 16, 10:16 p.m., Wasilla. Conducting a traffic stop for an equipment violation, troopers arrested 33-year old Marcus Holmes of Palmer for an outstanding arrest warrant. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

June 16, 8:44 p.m., Wasilla. While on patrol, troopers contacted and arrested 26-year old Matthew Prater of Wasilla on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was remanded to mat-Su Pretrial Facility where bail was set at $2,500.

June 17, 4:47 a.m., Palmer. Following a traffic stop, troopers arrested 27-year old Raymond Lewis of Palmer on an outstanding $50 failure to appear warrant on the original charge of reckless driving. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

June 17, 6:51 p.m., Parks Highway-Hyer Road, Wasilla. Following a traffic stop for speeding, troopers arrested 20-year old David Brooks of Anchorage on an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Anchorage. According to reports, Brooks was a passenger in the stopped vehicle and the warrant was on an original charge of theft. Brooks was transferred to Anchorage Police Department for remand.

June 17, 4:16 a.m., Trunk Road-College Drive. Following a moving violation traffic stop, troopers arrested 59-year old James Richardson of Anchorage for DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released on his own recognizance.

June 17, 11:59 p.m., Knik River Road near Manmade Lake. An off-duty trooper, traveling in his own vehicle, arrested 21-year old Kyle Taylor of Anchorage for disorderly conduct against a peace officer and resisting arrest. According to reports, Taylor jumped in front of the trooper’s vehicle and began yelling and challenging him after the trooper stopped to check on his well-being. Police say the trooper identified himself and advised Taylor he was under arrest when he began fighting with the trooper. Police say during the altercation, a female companion with Taylor interfered with the arrest and a male companion failed to assist when requested. Taylor was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility.

June 17, 10:40 p.m., Parks Highway-Lucus Road, Wasilla. Responding to a REDDI report, troopers arrested 21-year old Aidan Teilborg of Anchorage for DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and later released.

May 16, Palmer. Troopers charged 52-year old James Dean Smith of Palmer with DUI. According to reports, on April 30 at approximately 3:45 p.m., troopers followed up on a REDDI report. The caller stated a vehicle was swerving in traffic and almost struck a motorcycle. Police stated the suspect vehicle turned on to Knik River Road, left the roadway, turned over and landed on its wheels before the operator drove it away. At approximately 4:02 p.m., troopers stopped the suspect vehicle which had major body damage. Police state Smith was driving the vehicle.

June 18, 9:30 p.m., Glenn Highway near mile 33, Palmer. Troopers arrested 23-year old Carley Dana Ferris of Palmer for DUI, reckless driving, and hit and run. According to reports, troopers observed a 2013 Jeep Liberty speeding southbound on Glenn Highway with a flat tire. As troopers approached the vehicle, it struck the rear of a trailer being towed by a pickup truck. Police stated the Jeep then crossed into the oncoming lane nearly striking several additional vehicles before returning to the median and stopping. Troopers state that an investigation revealed approximately three miles prior to stopping, Ferris side-swiped another vehicle and failed to stop for the collision. Reports stated the Jeep was totaled in the mishap, while one vehicle sustained approximately $4,000 in damages and the second approximately $2,500 in damages. Ferris was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $5,000 bail and a court-appointed third party.

June 20, 12:26 a.m., Outer Springer Loop-Lindgenberry Court, Palmer. Investigating a reported vehicle in a ditch, troopers arrested 31-year old George Johns of Palmer for DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where bail was set at his own recognizance.

June 20, 1:44 a.m., North Kim Drive, Wasilla. Responding to a trespass and vandalism complaint, troopers arrested 45-year old Garett Mahan of Wasilla for first-degree domestic violence criminal trespass and fifth-degree domestic violence criminal mischief. Police state Mahan unlawfully entered a family member dwelling causing less than $250 in damages. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.

June 18, 9:15 p.m., Wasilla. Conducting a traffic stop for an equipment violation, troopers arrested 21-year old Brent Matthews of Houston on an outstanding misdemeanor probation violation warrant. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial facility and held on a $50 bail.

June 19, 12:30 a.m., Vine Road, Wasilla. Troopers arrested 40-year old Adam Andrews of Wasilla on an outstanding warrant on the original charge of fourth-degree misdemeanor involving a controlled substance. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $250 bail.

June 19, 3:55 a.m., Schrock Road, Wasilla. Troopers arrested 30-year old Jessica Beck on an outstanding probation violation arrest warrant on the original charge of second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held on $2,000 bail.

Alaska Wildlife Troopers

June 17, 1:15 a.m., Eklutna Tailrace. Wildlife troopers cited 60-year old David Luera for failing to immediately record his king salmon harvest as required. Bail was set at $110.

June 17, 2:05 p.m., Glenn Highway, mile 50. Following a traffic stop, wildlife troopers cited 30-year old Tyler Montanez of Wasilla for failure to record any of his salmon harvest on his permit card and required after returning from fishing. Bail was set at $110.

Palmer Police Department

June 13. Police issued a summons to 21-year old Destini McGhie of Wasilla for concealment of merchandise.

June 13. Police forwarded charges to the district attorney’s office on 24-year old Robert Luzader of Palmer for fourth-degree theft and fourth-degree assault.

June 14. Police continue an investigation into several reports of stolen items from cars parked at various locations around town.

June 17. Police arrested 40-year old Michael Denson of Palmer for a failure to appear warrant on the original charge of driving while license revoked. Police also charged him with a new count of driving while license revoked. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.

June 17, Police arrested 47-year old Reed Amgwert of Palmer for DUI. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released on his own recognizance.
