Alaska State Troopers
May 26, 4:37 p.m. Parks Highway-Church Road. Working jointly with Wasilla Police Department, troopers arrested 31-year-old Anchorage resident Jason Dixon for felony eluding, first-degree theft and on an outstanding $10,000 cash only warrant on the original charge of first-degree theft. According to AST and WPD reports, officers from both departments attempted to stop a reported stolen vehicle on the Parks Highway near Church Road. Police say the driver refused to yield for approximately four miles operating the vehicle at above-posted speeds before eventually driving off the road and fleeing on foot into nearby woods. Police later apprehended Dixon and remanded him to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility where an additional $10,000 bail plus court-appointed third party was added to the original $10,000 warrant bail.
June 2, 12:01 a.m. Parks Highway, Houston. Following up on a REDDI report, troopers arrested 18-year-old Alexis Allen of Eagle River for DUI, minor operating while consuming alcohol (MOCA), and minor consuming alcohol (MCA). She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility to be released on her own recognizance.
May 31, 10:02 p.m., Jim Creek, Palmer. Troopers and Valley EMS personnel responded to a reported ATV accident in the Jim Creek Area and discovered 21-year-old Lane Taylor of Wasilla with life-threatening injuries. According to reports, investigation revealed Taylor was riding a dirt bike when he lost control, went airborne and crashed. He was transported to Providence Hospital in Anchorage by Life Med. Troopers reported the extent of injuries was unknown and the investigation continues.
June 2, 10:20 p.m., Palmer Wasilla Highway-Seward Meridian Parkway. Troopers arrested 39-year-old Michael Denson of Wasilla on an outstanding failure to appear warrant. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $50.
June 3, 12:18 a.m. Following a traffic stop for a moving violation, troopers arrested 29-year-old Jason Hundley of Wasilla on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility with bail set at $1,500 plus court-appointed third party.
June 3, 12:37 a.m., Westside Drive, Palmer. After stopping a suspicious vehicle traveling with its lights out, troopers arrested 31-year-old Sarah Hodges of Palmer for DUI. She remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and released on her own recognizance.
Wasilla Police Department
May 26, 7:13 a.m., East Parks Highway. Police continue investigating the reported theft of a wallet from Red Robin restaurant. The complainant told police a fraudulent charge had been made using a credit card from the wallet.
May 26, 10:40 a.m., East Palmer Wasilla Highway-East. Parks Highway. Police arrested Juanita Polty for DUI following a motor vehicle collision at the intersection. She was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 26, 2:14 p.m., Seward Meridian Parkway-Palmer Wasilla Highway. Conducting a traffic stop, police charged the vehicle’s driver, Rachel Ann Shouck, with first-degree hindering prosecution. Police state that Shouck concealed the identity of a male passenger who had an outstanding felony parole arrest warrant.
May 27, 6:13 p.m. Following up on a phone tip, police charged Aaron Smith with DUI, who, according to reports, was operating a motorcycle under the influence of drugs. The motorcycle was impounded.
May 27, 6:48 p.m., East Parks Highway. Police charged Shawn Phillips-Tomlinson with drug DUI through the district attorney’s office after his vehicle collided with the Wasilla Police Department sign. He was transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for injuries.
May 27, 4:09 p.m., West Parks Highway. After stopping a vehicle for a traffic violation, police arrested Kiprian Reutov for first and third-degree misconduct involving a weapon, two counts of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, and one count of second-degree theft by receiving. According to reports, Reutov was on probation for a felony DUI. The probation office requested a search of his vehicle where police reportedly found a stolen firearm, a variety of controlled substances and items associated with the sale of drugs. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
May 27, 7:44 p.m., West Parks Highway. Police cited Donald Richards for DUI and fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, officers were in the process of stopping a vehicle after receiving several REDDI reports. Police stated the officer stopped the vehicle behind Richards’ vehicle at which point it accelerated backward and struck the police car.
May 28, 6:49 a.m., East Carpenter Circle. Police recovered a reported stolen vehicle.
May 29, 7:35 a.m., South Seward Meridian Parkway. Police continue an investigation into the reported theft of a generator from an RV parked in Walmart’s lot.
May 29, 9:18 a.m., North Knik-Goose Bay Road-East Railroad Street. Following a traffic stop, police arrested Wendy Roland for DUI, and on an outstanding DUI arrest warrant issued by Anchorage Police Department. She was also cited her for operating a vehicle with studded tires and no proof of motor vehicle insurance.
May 31, 7:58 a.m., East Glen Circle. Police continue investigation into a reported vehicle theft. The complainant stated she had left her unlocked vehicle warming up in her driveway when an unknown male drove it off.
May 31, 1:14 p.m., Parks Highway. Police cited Randall Brown for fourth-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespass. According to reports, Brown was previously trespassed from Fred Meyer when officers, responding to a shoplifter in custody complaint, arrived and reported he stole $49.99 in merchandise.
May 31, 7:48 p.m., East Parks Highway. Responding to a reported theft after the fact, police charged Stephen Walsh with fourth-degree theft and second degree criminal trespass through the district attorney’s office. According to reports, investigation revealed Walsh, who was previously banned from Target, had stolen $119.98 in merchandise.
May 31, 8:07 p.m. Police continue investigating a fraudulent use of a credit card complaint. According to reports, the complainant told officers the card had been used to make three different unauthorized purchases totaling more than $1,000 at Home Depot.
June 1, 12:35 a.m. Parks Highway. Police charged Tammie Press with fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. According to reports, officers responded to Fred Meyer for a found purse containing $400 cash and illegal drugs. Through an investigation, police determined the owner.
June 1, 10:46 a.m., East Bogard Road. Police continue an investigation into a reported vehicle theft. Police report the complainant had driven to an area business and left his keys in the unlocked vehicle. When he returned, the vehicle, valued at approximately $7,000, was gone.
June 7, 10:07 p.m., West Parks Highway. Police continue an investigation into a reported robbery. According to reports, an unknown male had stolen merchandise from Value Village and pulled a gun on store personnel attempting to stop him.
